Can you do assessments for dyslexia?
We are able to screen (not diagnose) for dyslexia using two different assessment tools. Screening takes about 40/60 minutes. This screening gives an indication of whether the child is dyslexic and in which areas they may struggle. A detailed report is then given to the parents with suggestions of the support which can be given to the child. This screening process costs £100.
How do you know our child will improve?
The main objective is to make your child more confident in the areas they may find difficult. With carefully differentiated lessons, and a small amount of tailored homework, over time the children would be expected to improve both academically and in their confidence.
How long are the lessons?
Each lesson lasts for 50 minutes, followed by a 10 minute report and discussion with the parents.
What time are the lessons?

The lessons generally take place at the tutor’s home. By agreement, it may be possible to deliver lessons at the child’s home.
Will my child receive homework?
They will receive homework that is related to the lesson that day. It will be no more than 30 minutes. If there are any issues with your child not being able to complete the homework, let us know.
What do I need to do, if I want to withdraw my child from tuition?
You will be required to give two weeks’ notice if you feel your child no longer requires tutoring.
What if my child can't make a lesson?
24 hours’ notice is required if a lesson is cancelled due to child/parent illness or you simply can't make it. If we don't receive 24 hours' notice, the full lesson fee will need to be paid. Any holiday or other commitments should be notified in advance, or payments will be required.
